On Saturday November 28, 2020, SIC Life made history by being adjudged the CIIG Corporate Social Responsibility Company of the Year and CIIG Most Supportive Corporate Partner at the maiden CIIG Insurance Awards held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. SIC Life emerged as winner ahead of other industry heavyweights.

The awards were received by the Chief Finance Officer; Mr. Daniel Saforo and Mrs. Jennifer Asare, a Chief Officer at the Corporate Services Department. Also representing the Company were some Management and staff members. In receiving the awards, Mr. Saforo thanked the organizers of the awards scheme for the honors done the Company.

The category ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Company of the Year’ is the second in the Company’s collection for the year as the Company was adjudged the CSR Leadership Award Winner at the 2020 Ghana Insurance Awards held in August.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, SIC Life has continuously been a major sponsor of the Ghana Teacher Prize (formerly called National Best Teacher Awards), Ga Literacy Program and Inter-schools quiz organized by the Office of the Adabraka Atukpai (Otuopai) Mantse  for schools in the Korle Klottey Constituency and also supports key institutions such as the Naval Recruit Training School, Army Recruit Training School, Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana, Ghana Insurance College, Insurance Brokers Association of Ghana, Chartered Insurance Ladies Association Ghana, Africa Insurance Organisation, West Africa Insurance Institute, Ghana School of Law, amongst others.
